All class. Meet Bill Roulston - it's remarkable that he's here with us in Tapanui today.
An anti-tanker against the Germans in War II, he was buried alive in Italy and left for dead, ultimately saved by British troops who refused to leave him behind. When he returned to New Zealand he embraced life as a sheep farmer but later broadened his enterprise to include dairy and beef. 'You had to', he explained of the ever changing environment.
Blind in his left eye, he's endured a facial reconstruction and despite these ailments he remains as sharp as a tac, and as stylish as ever. Now a resident of Ribbonwood.
